New Hanover County Community Action, Inc.

Now in our 44^th year of operation, New Hanover County Community Action, Inc. (NHCCA, Inc.) is a private, non-profit organization serving resident of New Hanover County, North Carolina.  Our services focus on the growth and development of young children.  However, this focus allows us to provide services to family members in the households where the young children reside.

NHCCA, Inc. is funded with federal, state, local and private funds.  We strive to always give a “hand up” not a “hand out” in helping.  We are members of the national, state, and regional Head Start Associations as well as an active member of the N.C. Community Action Association and the National Community Action Partnership.
